How We Began by Anthony 'Pip' Turner
 

In 1966, as a young motor engineer of 18, I founded the business of A. Turner (sole proprietor). Working from a base in the former village hall, I specialised in breakdown and recovery work and became the youngest proprietor to be appointed a Ford Retail Dealer, a position still held today.

 

 

The success of the company quickly lead to the purchase of a five acre site on Sedgefield Industrial Estate.

As the site developed, and demand for our services increased, the business became Turners of Sedgefield Ltd. in 1975.
